"Hi, is this the Krusty Krab?"

 "NO, THIS IS PATRICK!"

Welp, it's been a few days since I've updated this thing. I've been somewhat busy lately and have found it difficult to find time to write a new blog between going to school and hanging out with friends. Well, and because I'm kind of lazy haha.

Right now I'm just sitting by myself under a tree in kind of a chill, secluded area of my school. Many people don't really like being alone, but I honestly don't mind it. It's kind of relaxing to just be able to sit and think and observe your surroundings. It's especially nice on a beautiful day like this! Yeah... Don't really know where I was going with that...

Lately I've been meaning to just lay down and watch a movie, but I haven't really gotten around to it. I enjoy all kinds of movies, though. I like comedy movies, action's alright, I also like a lot of drama and (no homo) romance-ish movies. A few of my favorite movies include:

Borat
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
I Am Legend
The Pursuit of Happyness

Well my class is about to start, so I must be going. Hopefully the cute girl is there this time. I'll probably write a batter blog entry when I get home haha. Peace.

Music and What Not

I'm not really too sure what to write about today, so I figured I might as well right about music, seeing as I really enjoy both listening to and playing music. A lot of people think that I just listen to "screamo" based on how I look. Honestly, I don't know what "screamo" is. I listen to many different genres of music and I'm probably a lot more musically diverse than people would expect me to me. Some of the genres that I listen to (in alphabetical order, by the way) include: acoustic (not really a genre, but whatever), alternative, country, death metal, deathcore, emo, folk, grindcore, hardcore, hardcore/pop punk, indie, industrial, jazz, melodic hardcore, metal, metalcore, new age piano, pop, pop punk, post-hardcore, punk, R&B, rap, reggae, rock, and soul. As well as this, I also listen to quite a few bands that probably don't really fit into a genre. I really love music. I feel that there's a song for almost every situation and emotion in life. Just as a painter can look at a painting and be able to understand the message and the emotions portrayed by a painting, I feel that music can function the exact same way. It saddens me that people are getting so much exposure on television and the radio for creating music with no emotions or messages of any kind. Not that I really have a gigantic problem with mainstream music, don't get me wrong, I like some of the songs on the radio just as much as the next guy, but I think it's kind of messed up for talentless people to get famous when there are many other musicians who put there heart and soul into their work and get almost no credit. Oh well, that's life. </rant>

Here's a list of a few of my all time favorite bands/artists and their respective genres. They're all REALLY good haha. I recommend checking one of the bands out, if their genre seems like something you'd listen to.

Brand New (Alternative/Indie)
Circa Survive (Alternative/Experimental/Indie)
City & Colour (Acoustic/Indie/Folk)
For the Fallen Dreams (Melodic Hardcore)
It Prevails (Melodic Hardcore)
Park (Alternative/Indie/Emo)
Parkway Drive (Metalcore)
Taking Back Sunday (Alternative/Emo)

Also, here are a few bands that I've been listening to lately:

Angels & Airwaves (Alternative)
Chelsea Grin (Deathcore)
Dream On, Dreamer (Post-Harcore)
Take Charge (Deathcore)
1997 (Alternative/Indie)

Oh yeah, I like Ray Charles too. Ray was an excellent movie:

What are some of your favorite bands, artists, or genres?

Alright

So today, my dad and I got in a fat argument. Well actually, he was the only one arguing. I was being polite and respectful, while he, on the other hand, was being rude and kept interrupting me. While we were on our way to Target I was talking calmly and he interrupted me. One of my pet peeves. I calmly said "Can you please not interrupt me? I don't like it when you do that." He promptly swerved to the side of the road (crazily) and said "Get out of my car. I've had enough of you." What a nice guy! Not. Oh well. I saw him while I was walking home and since then the tension has lightened. Other than that, nothing else has really happened today. The weather has been great! I like rain :). Oh, also, my friend Scott came over today. He sells kitchen knives for some company and he wanted to give his presentation to my dad. I was really surprised with how professional and knowledgeable he was. My dad got a few kitchen knives from him. They're expensive, but they're really well made and are of pretty high quality. Speaking of jobs... I really need one. For a while, I've been trying to get a job at my local Trader Joe's. My aunt is like a manager or something of a different Trader Joe's and has been trying to hook me up with a job at my local one, but it's not really up to her unfortunately. Alternatively, I've also been trying to get a job at Zumiez. Get money, get paid. Disregard women, acquire currency.

Now for some toilet humor:

Things That Bug Me

Yesterday, my dad pissed me off, which inspired me to write a blog about other a few other things that bug me as well.

1. I hate it when I'm talking to someone and I feel like they're not even paying attention. This is what happened between my dad and I yesterday. I was talking to him about something, and his reply had absolutely nothing to do with what I was explaining to him. It upset me because the least he could do is PRETEND that he was listening and say something like "Oh, interesting" or "I see what you mean".

2. This kind of goes with the first one, but I dislike it when I'm interrupted. Not that I think that I deserve the utmost respect or anything, but after being interrupted a few times in a row, it starts to annoy me.

3. I don't like it when people always ask me for rides or for me to pick them up. If I get compensated gas money or something, then it's all good, but I'm not your chauffeur.

4. Traffic pisses me off. Enough said.

5. It annoys me when people purposely speak in an unintelligible vernacular. As well as this, I don't like it when people make absolutely no effort type out or spell out words correctly. Things like that simply make you look uneducated.

I'll possibly update this throughout the day.

UPDATE:
6. I hate wet socks.

Uhhh

So far, today has been mildly interesting suppose. After my math class got out early today, I headed down to the taco truck that's parked on campus. From there I got a pastrami sandwhich. After that, I met up with my friend Ian and we talked for a while until he had his next class. After he left, a band started playing in the courtyard. They started out by playing a cover of "Come Together" by The Beatles. It was alright. I couldn't hear the vocals very well. They played a few more songs while I sat on the grass and watched them. They were kind of a clownshow, but they have my respect, simply for playing their music and doing what they love (that sounds really cheesy haha). While watching, I ran into three of my classmates and had nice conversations with each of them, before I had to leave for my physics class. Currently, I am sitting in class while listening to my professor ramble on about air pressure or something. My professor is pretty insane. He makes absolutely no sense and is quite eccentric. I honestly think that he might have some sort of mental deficiency or something. Well I should probably try to pay attention, even though it will surely be to no avail, due to my professor's behavior. I'll probably edit this blog when I get home and include a funny picture. Now I'm thirsty and the one cute girl in this class isn't even here today :( oh woe is me!

Now, for the updated funny picture:

k

Alright, I'm new to this blogger thing, so I figure that I'll just write (or "blog") about my day so far. This may potentially be boring. Bare with me. So today, my alarm went of at 8:15 as it does every weekday (except Fridays). Today, though, I felt particularly tired, so I set it to snooze. After 9 minutes, I got up, took a shower got ready, etc. I was a bit late meeting up with my friend Ian after I had driven to school (I go to community college -_-). I wasn't late to class, just late for meeting up with my friend. Anyways, after that, I went to my math class. My professor handed back our 2nd midterms that we did last week. I got 100%! So far I've been doing pretty freaking good in that class. Then we learned about graphing secant functions and what not. Pretty easy stuff. Then I went to my English class in which we discussed the book that we've been reading. We've been reading The Mole People by Jennifer Toth. It's a book about underground homeless living in New York City. It's somewhat interesting, but not really interesting enough for me to keep up with the assigned reading. After class, I drove down to In N Out and got myself a double double, well-done fries, and a chocolate shake. Then I went home, watched some Spongebob and then headed down to my friend Dean's house. There, we played Geometry Wars and we also started writing a new song for our band. That's about all I've done today, and I am currently typing this on my laptop while watching Dean play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. He's being pretty cheap. Noobtubing with one man army. Not cool.

Now, for your enjoyment:
